Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hospitalist

Location: Metropolis, Illinois

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team of hospitalists and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality medical care.

Job Description: As an APP Hospitalist at Massac Memorial Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive medical care to our patients. Working under the supervision of our physician hospitalists, you will have the opportunity to manage patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Details:

• Patient Load: Average of 4 patients per day
• Physician Tele-Oversight: Collaborative oversight from physician hospitalists
• EMR: Meditech Expansion
• Hospital Capacity: 25 beds, with no ICU
• Special Program: Swing bed program available
• Shifts: 24-hour shifts (rounding plus call)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with physician hospitalists.
• Monitor patient progress, manage acute and chronic conditions, and coordinate care transitions as needed.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

• FNP/ PA Certification Required
• Active, unrestricted license to practice in Illinois
• DEA/ CSL- Required
• ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA- Required
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
