Overview Statement

The Director of Operations, Staffing Services is the visionary leader at the heart of Integritas, leading the people and managing the processes directly involved in placing medical providers in our partner hospitals through recruitment, credentialing, and scheduling. The Director of Operations, Staffing Services is a creative problem solver, an inspiring leader, and enjoys working with others to accomplish a challenging goal. The Director of Operations, Staffing Services not only leads by example, but also serves as a leader/manager to the teams of Provider Recruitment, Provider Credentialing, and Provider Scheduling.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years of management experience (successful leadership of a variety of teams and direct reports at a senior level within an organization)
  • Minimum of five years of experience working in healthcare preferred, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Experience in managing large-scope projects
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Able to coach and train effectively
  • Strong process improvement skills and a creative, outside-the-box approach to constantly make processes stronger and better
  • Able to build effective relationships with team members and peers in management
  • Able to give and receive feedback
  • Excellent planning skills (business, strategic, succession, process, project management)
  • Strong financial acumen (able to identify areas of improvement and present/execute processes related to fiscal responsibilities of the department)
  • Familiarity with sales, marketing, and professional recruitment is preferred
  • Decisive decision-making
  • Works well independently or within a team
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Able to travel to the southern Illinois region 6 times per year

List of Duties and Responsibilities:
Provider Recruitment Oversight

  • Develop high-level strategy and direction for the provider recruitment program.
  • Work closely with the Provider Recruitment Manager to implement strategy and provider recruitment roadmaps.
  • Develop long-term recruitment programs with the vision of providing for the company’s recruitment needs well into the future.
  • Investigate new avenues for provider recruitment to ensure a constant and full pipeline of providers coming into the company.
  • Create and implement a marketing strategy targeted toward provider recruitment.
  • Collaborate with Client Relations team members to interview provider candidates and determine the appropriate next steps for candidates.
  • Work with the Provider Recruitment Manager to establish ongoing provider recruitment needs by client facility and by priority.

Provider Credentialing

  • Supervise the Credentialing Manager to oversee Company provider credentialing program to ensure the following:
    • Company providers are credentialed in accordance with client bylaws,
    • Providers are in compliance with licenses and certification requirements,
    • The licensing processes for providers are efficient and timely, and
    • Credentialing deadlines are relayed to the Scheduling and Recruitment team for recruitment needs.

Provider Scheduling

  • Provide leadership, guidance, development opportunities, and support to the scheduling staff.
  • Coordinate scheduling brainstorming sessions with the CMO and Client Relations team members as needed when particularly difficult scheduling situations arise.
  • Have a working knowledge of the current hospital provider schedules, and review with scheduling team as needed. Work with the Client Relations team (the Vice President of Client Relations and Clinical Operations as well as the Director of Client Relations), the CMO, and each hospital to make sure their specific needs are met.
  • Meet with Scheduling team to review open shifts and scheduling issues, and to proactively assess any recruitment needs.
  • Ensure the right providers are placed on the right shifts as efficiently and timely as possible.
  • Work with the Scheduling Manager to evaluate and modify Recruitment Needs listed in the CRM as well as on Provider Solutions meeting notes.
  • Communicate with the Vice President of Client Relations and Clinical Operations and the CMO regarding provider issues that will affect the provider’s ability to remain on the schedule. Relay these potential issues to the Scheduling Manager.
  • Update CRM with information that might affect the provider schedule.
  • Work with the Scheduling team and Client Relations team to identify any current providers who may be able to work at other client facilities.
  • Actively work with senior management to ensure the ongoing profitability of Integritas by identifying provider cost overages due to bonuses and locums use, and by working to improve the efficiency of the schedule and reducing ongoing pay overages.

Provider Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Oversee the provider onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring that every provider entering or leaving the company is given clarity and consistency throughout the process.
